Critical Theory, Education and Social Work reading group #20: Capabilities

What is the relationship between individual well-being and social arrangements? How do we evaluate whether an institution or program is “good”, especially where there are several potentially conflicting definitions of what this might be?

Please join us for our next gathering, where we will be discussing Ingrid Robeyns’s “Capability Approach: a theoretical survey” – a helpful articulation of the framework developed by Nobel-Prize-winning economist Amartya Sen and US philosopher Martha Nussbaum.

We hope you’ll join us, whether again or for the first time 🙂
